Manage Schedule
This screen provides tools to create, modify, and remove events for the convention.
Adding a Room
To add a new convention room to the schedule, click the "Add Room" panel on the calendar view.
The "Venue Name" field is required. This is the room name as it is known to the venue, and will be shown to attendees. "Custom Name" is optional, and can be used to label rooms as they are known to the convention, such as "Panel Room 1" or "Dealers Den".
Creating an Event
A new event can be created in one of two ways.
- Click and drag directly on an empty space on the calendar. A new block will appear, anchored at where you clicked, and can be dragged to the desired length of time for the event.
- Click the "Plus" button found in the bottom right of the screen.
After one of these two actions are performed, a modal will appear prompting for the event's information. Once finished, click "OK" to confirm the information.
After clicking "OK", the event is not yet saved or added to the schedule. A striped background on an event indicates that it has unsaved changes. Ensure you click the "SAVE" button at the top of the page to save and finalize your changes.
Editing an Existing Event
To edit an event, click the event in the calendar view. Once clicked, you may edit the event's information, cancel the event, or delete the event.
The following fields are available:
- Event Name - The name/title of the event.
- Event Description - The description of the event.
- Host(s) - Who will be hosting the event. When inputting names, press Enter after you are finished typing each name to add it to the list.
- Location - The room/location that event will be taking place in.
- Start Date/Time - The start date/time of the event. This will always be in the event's time zone.
- End Date/Time - The end date/time of the event. This will always be in the event's time zone.
- 18+ Event - Whether the event is intended for ages 18+ only.
- Extra Cost Event - Whether the event has an additional charge to attend.
- Cancelled - Whether the event has been cancelled.
You may also choose to delete the event by clicking the red "DELETE" button on the bottom right of the popup.
Be extra careful when deciding between cancelling an event and deleting an event.
Cancelling an event is a reversible action, and attendees will be notified that the event was cancelled.
Deleting an event is NOT a reversible action. This entirely removes the event, and attendees will NOT be notified that it was deleted. Deletion should only be reserved for instances where you want to entirely remove an event from the schedule.
