Permissions

The permissions screen allows admins to adjust which users can view and make changes in different app screens.

Permissions are based on the roles defined in your ConCat instance. In order to add a new role to be selected on this screen, the role must first be created within ConCat.

Admin Access

This section controls which users will have full, unrestricted access to the scheduling application. By default, the "admin" role is always selected for this permission, as it is a default role that is defined within ConCat. The "admin" role cannot be unselected, to avoid the possibility of removing all admin access to the app.

The roles granted admin access supersede all other permissions on this screen. If a role is included here, it is by extension applied to every other permission.

Screen Permissions

For more fine-tuned permissions, you can grant access to roles on a per-screen basis as well.

Each screen has its own set of read and write permissions. To grant a role permission to perform read or write actions, simply select the screen on this screen. Then, select the role on the appropriate dropdown to grant it access. Once you click save, any user that has the selected role(s) will be able to access the screen.

tip

The "write" permission automatically allows "read" access as well. If you add a role to "write", you do not need to add it to "read".

info

There is not a dedicated permission for the Permissions screen. Only admins have access to this screen. To grant access to the Permissions screen, the role needs to be added to "Global Admin".
